Sofia graduated from Emory University in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology, as well as a minor in French studies. She earned highest honors upon the defense of her thesis, which focused on a psychophysical assessment of task-based variability in pain-evoked fMRI experiments. Her previous research experience is mainly centered around quantitative sensory testing and the subjective pain experience, but Sofia is eager to expand her expertise in the clinical and translational neuroscience field. She also hopes to attend graduate school to further build her career in this field. In her free time, Sofia enjoys cooking, watching movies and TV series, exploring new places, and traveling.
